There has been significant public interest in the circumstances surrounding the case of a child’s unnatural death at Chin Swee Road. The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) would like to remind the public and the media that criminal proceedings have commenced. A gag order has been issued by the court to protect the identity of the victim. This order restrains the publication of the name, address, photograph, any evidence or any other thing likely to lead to the identification of the victim or accused persons. The breach of a gag order is an offence punishable with up to 12 months’ imprisonment.
