Good evening ladies and gentlemen, a very warm welcome to the Singapore Academy of Law Annual Lecture. As the name suggests, this prestigious event takes place every year. However, this 2018 lecture is itself special, as it also marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Singapore Academy of Law.
