Goh Aik Huat (“Goh”) is one of four persons who claimed trial to a charge of committing a public nuisance in furtherance of a common intention, an offence punishable under Section 290 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code (Cap. 224, 2008 Rev. Ed.) (“the nuisance offence”), arising from the events of 27 September 2014 at Hong Lim Park in connection with YMCA Proms @ the Park 2014 and #ReturnOurCPF (“the 27 September 2014 incident”).
