Law Reform Publications

The former Law Reform and Revision Division was merged with the Legislation Division to form the Legislation and Law Reform Division ("LLRD") on 15 June 2008. The Law Reform and Revision Directorate of the LLRD performs the law reform work formerly undertaken by the Law Reform and Revision Division.

Consultation Papers

LLRD works with Government Ministries and Statutory Boards on legislative initiatives. A consultation paper may be published to assess the views of persons or bodies most affected by proposed legislation, or the views of the general public. Some of these consultation papers are available through the AGC website. A more comprehensive set of Singapore Government consultation papers may be obtained from http://www.reach.gov.sg/

Law Reform Reports

LLRD prepares Law Reform Reports with proposals for new legislative initiatives. The Division works with other agencies on specific areas of possible law reform. These various types of law reform reports are also available through this website. Please note that the substance and proposals contained within Law Reform Reports may not be accepted by the Government, and may not be implemented in the manner proposed in the Law Reform Reports.

A list of some of our completed and current law reform projects is accessible via the following:
