Mission
To help AGC Provide effective legal services through the use of IT and management of knowledge resources.
Our Work
The Information Division comprises the 3 units, namely, the Computer Information Systems Department, the Library and the Knowledge Management Central. The Information Division serves the IT and KM needs of other Divisions, and AGC as a whole. These 3 units have been brought together to improve synergy, and reduce the duplication of resources through closer co-ordination of efforts and more streamlined planning in the management of IT and knowledge resources.
Computer Information Systems Department
The Computer Information Systems Department is responsible for the planning, provisioning and maintenance of IT solutions for AGC. In addition, CISD plays a key role in formulating AGC’s IT master plan, spearheading the re-engineering of its business processes, and driving its IT initiatives in order to maximise productivity and improve work output quality.
CISD’s specific duties are to :
- Help develop AGC’s ICT policies, standards, guidelines and processes;
- Ensure the smooth operations of AGC ICT infrastructure, systems and services;
- Procure ICT services by preparation of tender specifications, tender evaluation through to tender award and contract execution;
- Manage vendors and external providers of ICT services;
- Explore and evaluate technologies so that relevant technologies can be deployed within AGC.
AGC Library
The Library provides efficient library services in its delivery of comprehensive and timely legal resources essential to the work of the Attorney-General's Chambers.Operating Hours
Mondays to Thursday 8.30am – 6.00 pm
Friday 8.30am – 5.30 pm
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
The AGC Library is open to the following users :
- AGC’s Legal Officers and support staff
- Legal Officers from Singapore Government Ministries and Organs of State
- Legal Officers from Singapore Statutory Boards
- Other officers from Ministries/Organs of State/Statutory Boards who are working on projects with officers of the Attorney-General’s Chambers
Knowledge Management Central
Knowledge Management (“KM”) Central seeks to promote the creation, contribution and harnessing of knowledge assets in AGC. It devises AGC’s strategy towards maturity in its KM development and works closely with Divisional KM-IT Committees to review and support Divisional KM directions and initiatives. KM Central also provides support for AGC’s participation in KM sharing activities with other organisations.
